There is a lot of moss in deciduous forests, growing on trees and in water. There are ferns ad lichens, which are fungi made of bacteria. Wildflowers are also very common; shrubs and other small plants grow near the trees. There are birches, conifers, pines, maple, oak, magnolias, hardwood, and fir. As you can see there are also mushrooms and berries. Common things that you would find in the forest are also there, like poison ivy.
Fun Fact: The reason why these forests are called deciduous is because the trees have a tendency to shed their leaves. This is one of the amazing things about deciduous forests. |
